proof that my subconscious flunked math and doesn't know how old I am

I dreamt that my parents and sister and I were impromptu participating in some kind of walking marathon event or foot race that we saw in passing from a car, and there was a guy with a clipboard taking registration and he asked me how old we all were, and I said - exact quote! -

"These are our parents and they're the same age as each other. I must be, uh, maybe about forty five? And this is my sister. She's nine years younger than me so about thirty five."

I am actually forty two. My birthday was in December.

Tristana woke me up after that. I never even tried to tell the guy how old my parents are aside from this Alice-in-Wonderland-ass answer.

Definitivamente um sonho que eu não teria (não sou fã de ficar correndo 😊), e ultimamente mal me lembro do que tenho sonhado e se acaso tive algum sonho. Acho que estou ficando ruim de memória *g*

Remembering them is side effect of the medication I'm taking, Venlafaxine. It makes them more vivid as well. That's a minority of the ways it affects sleep. I had successfully tapered off it last summer but my doctor put me back on a low dose when I had a big breakdown last fall after we lost two of our three cats in one week and things came to a head with my horrible ex boss! I definitely want to swap it for a different medicine, though.

Te entendo totalmente, recentemente a psiquiatra receitou um novo medicamento que eu não usarei pois ele pode causar Stevens-Johnson e ela sabe que eu já tive a doença e não posso tomar nada que cause outro ataque, mas ela não me ouve e é totalmente odiosa. Antes eu estava tomando lítio mas ele não me fez bem, não reagi legal a ele. Um grande porre. Se você puder trocar e tiver um bom médico veja isso, remédios tem que ser usados para o nosso bem e seus efeitos não podem ser piores do que a doença em si.

These effects are not dangerous to my health so they are probably seen as the lesser evil. But I was really eager to switch to a different one and have my sleep go back to natural patterns, if it even can after so many years on this medicine!
