i mean, come on, that's upside down. (of course, when demonstrating the head-turn prof. frank mimed 90 degrees. well, she's english, not math....) so anyway, yeah, foucault's ideas are so revolutionary. you mean power brings knowledge? and--whoa--the motives of the government with the criminal justice system and punishment aren't completely pure? they don't just want to help the criminal????

excuse me while my inner ear readjusts.

the bad thing is that i have to read another hundred pages of this by monday. the good thing is that foucault is more interesting than the prof. makes him sound, though rather dry. and another good thing is that the translation from french was v. v. well-done.

in other news, the Startled! Boy from greek class--you know the type, where their eyes are genetically big and so you can see white almost all the way around the iris--was staring contemplatively at me for most of class today. um, well, okay, i don't know if that look was contemplative or startled.

freshman boys should not have beards, even if they are cute and look like they could play mercutio.

Contemplative? Startled? There are other possibilities. Sleepy, lustful, etc. I had a beard as a freshman, or does that just prove your point? Is this always slow as dirt, or is it just me?

da-ji,

you're silly! no, see, that was a joke.

*rolls eyes*

and btw, you couldn't've been mercutio--too skinny, face too narrow, too jewish. nonetheless, you should not have had a beard.
