how much do YOU cost?

cimoreneremember the ground is covered with communist slogans, like "patriotism kills," "workers of the world-unite," "nationalism=racism," etc etc.
today walked right over "how much do you cost?"
well. huh. i mean, first i laughed. because. hehe. but then i realized it's kind of an interesting question. i mean, when you're metaphorically buying a person, exactly what does this entail? does it mean that they become like a 14 yr old nsync fan, and write your name on their faces and stomachs and all their clothes? and talk of nothing else?
or is it sufficient to be completely and obsessively devoted? and for how long does it have to last?
because really. i can see a situation where my price would be, like, a handful of ibuprofen. or--a bit higher--a really good story. if you ignore the more accurate metaphysical-type answers involving childhood and nature/nurture and. and stuff. right.
