*yawns* morning baaad.

If it's anything like here, if the study abroad program is unaffiliated, as I think you've said this one is, you look at the courses you want to take, look at the Amherst bullitan, and see what they would most likely transfer as. Then, you get some form (because at my school there are 3 forms for everything) and fill out a petition for the class to count as credit for _____ whatever class. If you don't have anything comperable, you can ask to have them apply to your major anyway because of relevancy, etc. Otherwise, I think you can elect in some cases to just take them general humanities requirements, etc.

Why are we awake? Soon, very soon, we will get to sleep. A lot.

yeah. but i mean, their classes are worth different amounts. like, here we take four classes, but there, they're supposed to take '30 ects' per semester and some of the classes are 2 ects, some are 4, some are 5, some are 6... you get the idea. the credit-hours are measured, like, total (1 ects is 40 hours of work), whereas ours are measured in 'class time per week.'

gaaaaaaaaaaaah.

*blinks* wow. That's kinda cool... I mean it's more of an actual reflection of work put into the course (or that we should put into the course :) Confusing, however, to poor US students who must wake up and think about such things.

I got curious, this might help:
