because i LOVE japan, and i love my yukata (traditional summer kimono, made of light cotton--the obi, ie, sash, is silk on mine, synthetic on lil's). that's me and my little sister, dressed in our yukata (which i got in sannomiya, kobe, if you're interested).

haha! well. they're bad for walking because of the narrow wrapped skirt. also you've got two cords tied v. tightly around your ribs under the obi, which is also v. tight.

however--it forces you to sit with perfect posture, pretty much, if you sit the way you're supposed to in it with your feet folded under you. so comfortable standing/sitting. feels natural. i dunno. i like it. hot, though.
