Date: 26 Mar 2002 05:42 pm (UTC)1. they often lure you with appels and promises of freedom to create
2. they are ubiquitous (some say they're even deep down inside the toilet bowl)
3. they stroke you softly and speedily accept changes to your documents
4. they work hand-in-hand with your printer to produce masterful compositions suitable for publication
BUT:
when you're doing something really, really important (life and death important - almost) they exact their revenge in devious ways -- freeze being very popular "if you enter CTRL-ALT-DEL one more time, you will lose any unsaved material" (haha - you imagine you hear it whisper, "haha") - but what choice do you have? it's now got you by the short hairs - you'd promise it anything if only you could save your work - go out and spend your food money on all the RAM it can hold - you'll religiously put on the dust cover every time - you'll use only the softest, gentlist brush to maintain pristine condition of the keyboard... haha, the devil has you!
