he'd been moved out of the ICU at shepherd's for a few days, but he was having problems--unable to digest food, couldn't quite get entirely off the oxygen--and he ended up [grossness alert] aspirating some vomit [okay now] and so he's back on a ventilator and back in the icu, and when mom left yesterday he was sedated. they may un-sedate him tomorrow. meanwhile he's in a neckbrace--frustrating as hell; a wheelchair--reportedly exhausting. but he was conversing and everything, from what i can gather. rather afraid to ask questions of my mom. it's one of those, well, 'You Know How She Is' things. there's a possibility of mom just taking me with her to atlanta tomorrow if/when she goes because of the possibility that
