HAHAHAHHA. Come on, world, where is the Tom Felton/Matt Lewis?

Hey, last batch of Yuletide recs! These are genuinely miscellaneous in nature.

  1. If Headaches Persist, Shoot Your Agent. James Bond movies, M, Bond/M UST. M wasn't yet sure what had prompted this latest trick of arriving precisely late enough for it to be obvious he was doing it deliberately, but not so much that he couldn't claim any number of innocent reasons, such as an overcrowded lift, or heavy traffic, but she could have set her watch by the man. If she'd wanted a perpetually late watch, that is. Awesome!

  2. The General in His Labyrinth. Temeraire - Naomi Novik. Wellington, Roland/Wellington, UST. The first time Wellington heard Jane Roland laugh, his mouth went dry with yearning. Bittersweet and very well-written.

  3. Spice Up Your Life With George and Brad. Actor RPF, gen. Entertainment Monthly sits down with George Clooney and Brad Pitt to talk about pranks on set, making serious movies, and polygamous compounds. (No, really!) AHHAHAHAHHAHAHAH.

  4. A Matter of Convenience. Merlin RPF, Bradley James/Colin Morgan. Getting a flat together was one thing. Getting a puppy was quite another. Pretty adorable.

  5. Where We're Going, and How To Get Back. American Idol RPF, Simon Cowell/Ryan Seacrest, Ryan POV. Ellen matchmaking, which I can see is probably about to become a new trope in Ryan/Simon, and Ryan being rather clueless and Simon both a realistic asshole and kind of sweet. This is really a very good story.

Last night I was thinking about the scope of RPS fandoms in passing and then I ended up having this confused dream that included both Andraé/Santino and some confusingly elaborate NSYNC story where NSYNC weren't really themselves and Joey didn't exist and Lance was played by someone else and they produced, like, indie music or something, and JC and not!Lance were fucking and so were Chris and Justin but Justin left the band to become an actor and there was some kind of misunderstanding and Chris's heart was broken and the story - which I might have been watching as a movie or something - was framed with these Looking Back! interview bits where not-Lance and JC and Chris were sitting on a blanket on a little hill in a park in the middle of a college campus and JC and not-Lance were sitting with Chris between them so they could share the duty of comforting him when Justin's name came up, because then he like, collapsed sobbing and buried his face in their shirt and they had to hug him and tell the story in a hushed voice. However, I woke up before the actual misunderstanding was explained, which is a bummer. The Andraé-POV part, in contrast, seemed to have some kind of science fictiony VR element. Although in retrospect the story was pretty stupid, I'm mildly miffed to have woken up without finding out how it ended.

my next favorite pairing on the original csi after nick/greg is het.  (note icon.)  the other day, against my better judgement, i searched for and discovered the fandom that exists for this pairing, which is so lame as to have named the pairing "yobling" after something warrick says sometimes but not that often, and something catherine said ONCE when warrick wasn't onscreen, in a context that had nothing to do with him.

the pairing was totally intended by the producers, which can't be said of nick/greg--i think that's just the unintentional side-effect of the actors' adorable, unstoppable puppy-love for one another*.

check this news:
One actor who seems to be enjoying himself is Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown). "I'm excited to see what happens with [Catherine and Warrick]," he said. "I'd love to see that [sex] scene on the kitchen table. Or maybe on the desk. And then the break room. Not in the morgue, though."

well, gary, we're glad to see you have SOME standards.

*no, really. )

on another note my icon keywords, "an innocent kiss", have given me a tiny jones for the first het pairing i read, josh/donna from the west wing.  there was a humourous and really good story by that name by an author with the pseudonym jo march.

okay, so, the deal with this is that nicole, aka [livejournal.com profile] secretangel, asked for britney/christina smut six months ago, when she sent me a mix cd and i asked her what she'd like in return.  then britney started dating her skanky little babydaddy, and got married, and started buying chandeliers for her chihuahuas, and my mental character got so screwed up that i had no idea what to do.  so i couldn't get a grip on the character for a long time, but i'm constitutionally incapable of wholeheartedly writing a new story when an old one isn't finished.  so yesterday i finally finished it.

and the deal with the graphic is that i've wanted to make a regency!christina ever since those images of the red-brown curls came out last year.
