except, you know what, thia has this cycle including 'wedding nights' and 'pippin's education' and 'crossing cards' and there's the idea that merry is waiting for pippin from the time he's eight. and i just thought it was funny and cute, not really gross. i guess it's all in how you do it. that whole waiting thing can be romantic.
