that bend it like beckham shouldn't have been lesbian because her playing soccer was already 'too much' in the unconventional department. i said, so was being lesbian too much for me since going all the way to massachussetts was already such a big deal? he refused to see any similarity between being tomboy-being lesbian and moving omg!across the country-moving omg!across the world. and then when i said they were both matters of degrees (one degree of shocking, one degree of distance) he was like 'but THAT wasn't what i was TALKING about.'

i went to amherst college but i took a leave of absence second semester of my sophomore year, so i've been away a whole year now. slightly more. and i'm not going back, obviously. i hear it's freezing, though! i just had to ask my advisor for a letter of recommendation and she mentioned it.
