baron gruner in the adventure of the illustrious client (from the case book) is SO jason isaacs.
speaking of, in five minutes i just wrote at least half of a holmes/watson spackle of 'the bruce-partington plans' based on my dvd of the episode and some acting at the top of jeremy brett's form as holmes, and the top of edward hardwicke's as watson.
oh my god, i'm so in love with this fandom! SQUEE!
expect a finished story sometime today. not kidding.

Date: 25 Jan 2004 07:42 pm (UTC)Full disclosure: I haven't ordered the series or ever seen it. I read somewhere that it's not close-captioned, so that pretty much lowers my comprehension down to 25%. (I have "fuzzy" hearing; I need things clearer, not louder.) It might be worth it for the visuals, but I still thought it was a little pricey.
