cimorenesomebody apparently put chicken in the garbage yesterday and didn't take it out--an open pail--without mentioning it. so there was this pervasive stench all through the apartment--all of it because it's small. and also the heat's turned up because dad's a freak got a spinal cord injury and can no longer regulate his body temperature. so anyway, this stench gradually fills up the apartment while it gets hotter and hotter. i noticed that it was kinda gross but the gradualness, like i said, tricked me.
then i walked the dog and when i came back... disgusting. i'd taken all the trash out but i had to spray odor neutralizer all around and now that smell is here, and the garbage smell's not entirely gone. it was so stuffy and chemical-smelling that i had to open the window. so dad comes in and says in the tone of voice that indicates i've gone and run over the cat or something, 'CIM! you've got to CLOSE THE WINDOW!'
he keeps bitching and moaning--even though i'm using the computer and the apartment actually has four other rooms--and forces me to close it. i was already headachy and lightheaded from the heat and the chemicals. i'm probably going to have to go lie down in my room with the door closed and my head on the windowsill soon.
