i accepted the promotion to cashier--i think my over-analysis of the issue/the multiple conversations annoyed kami, our HR/hirer. but oh well--she'll get over it, and i'll get trained when i come back from finland. it occurred to me that i'm generally considered to be 'a good worker' among the managers, plus i'm available any time; so i don't think my hours will suffer much. and i'm still very happy to sack. i would miss it if i couldn't.

wow, i am so laid-back and happy about life lately. it's so many little things. existence is WONderful, in the words of a lady i did carryout for last week.

plus saturday? SEX.

oh yeah.

yesterday i saw a tshirt that said EAT A BEAVER. ([livejournal.com profile] randwise_gamgee: EWWWWW!) ahahahaha. i want it almost as much as the one [livejournal.com profile] perhael made of tim roth's face with GARY OLDMAN LET'S DO IT written on it.

Oh man would I would love to own either of those! I once has a t-shirt that said "I'm not gay, but my girlfriend is", but it died an untimely death when I slipped on a piece of wood while on holiday in Germany. The stains never came out... I still miss that shirt!

I wish the Tim Roth one wan't just for Sims... I swear one day I'm going to iron his wittle face right onto one of my white shirts ;)

is it worth $17 bucks (or whatever it is) to both of us? we could do a cafepress shop. next time i have that much money to throw around.

(the tim one i mean.)

as for EAT A BEAVER, magic markers on boy's white size medium t-shirts are your friends... that's where my /SLASH (NO MORE BLOOD FOR RPS) and CIMORENE! shirts come from.

it would definitely be worth $17 or whatever to me, but international payment without creditcard can be a real bitch. would be too cool if we could pull it off, though!

i can't believe I never thought of magic marker... i ironed all the letters on, letter by letter. damn ;)

it fades--black not too badly, to perfectly legible gray which can be periodically freshened. red fades like a HORRID FADEY THING and bleeds around the edges into pink.

oh bummer re: no credit cards. i thought you were canadian! don't you have like visa checkcards with every checking account up there?

oh, no i'm not canadian! i'm dutch, and unfortunately don't make enough money to apply for a credit card. (blushes happy because being mistaken for a native speaker makes my english-studying self happy) (unless you thought i was french-canadian, in which case i need to study harder) ;)

oh, well, i have mistaken you for a native speaker, yeah. i've never read anything very long that you've written, i hasten to add, just journal entries, and mainly comments.

hahah, hey, you're dutch? last year wax and i were going to try to go to copenhagen (for a semester--a study abroad thing). the housing situation there ended up dissuading us though.

your silly european lack of check cards. these things are great. you need them.

copenhagen is like, not actually in holland. but hey ;)

i like being mistaken for a native speaker. it boosts my fragile ego. please keep on mistaking ;)

or are denmark, the netherlands and holland three separate places? danes are from denmark. so dutch people ARE from the netherlands! aren't they?

it's like this: holland and the netherlands are the same place, and denmark is somewhere else. we're pretty similar countries though, with similar sounding languages and all. why the netherlands are also called holland is a long story, and why we are called dutch escapes even me. oh and copenhagen is the capital of denmark, the dutch capital being amsterdam.
