from where i'm standing (which is to say, page 358 of a very large book), it looks like about 80% of economics is composed of circularly defining and redefining terms in relation to one another.

i want to bludgeon an economist. (but don't worry, [livejournal.com profile] mace_m, you're safe.)

technically, my brother is an econometrist (or studying to be one, anyway), but you can bludgeon him all you want ;)

I've made it my goal to carve 'i <3 cim' and send it to you in picture form, and hopefully make an icon out of it.

It would be the cutest icon.

Ah, thank you! But if you absolutely want to bludgeon an economist, may I suggest Musgrave? He's brought me nothing but trouble. God damned public finance theory.

I would assume that you have to come to Turku at some point. So, coffee, perhaps?

We're coming tomorrow. Also, I have reserved tickets for In The Cut at 21.00 Wednesday, how about it?

In The Cut doesn't really appeal to me, but we could have a coffee before you go to see it. I'll be in the center of town away, since I'll be going to a meeting of the English club earlier in the evening. Or you could join me there (Koulu after 18.00) and the Brits could tell Cim stories about what it's really like to live in Finland for a foreigner.

Taking economics this past year was the bane of my existence, and one of the main reasons why I changed my major, so I wouldn't have to take it again next year. *shudders* You have my deepest sympathies.

i didn't believe there was such a thing as a job that somehow through its own intrinsic qualities attracted all ten percent most naturally stick up arse, annoying over meticulous graph-making overanalysts on the market! but there is!

After you bludgeon the economist presumably to death, could you please resurrect them and do it all over again on my behalf? It would so make my day life.

*blows kisses o'er the ocean*

simpler (and more beneficial to the world at large) to simply find another economist for our second bludgeoning!
