Ooh, those are pretty. I'm going to have to order a prayer wheel ring so I can drive everyone nuts spinning it around.

that's exactly my thought. i'm a huge fidgeter. i have a poison ring shaped like a turtle--the shell snaps up--and i just sit there clicking it open and shut all day, like a retractable pen for your finger.

(people in room: OKAY, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT CLICKING NOISE????
me: lalala.)

I like the celtic #2053, #2055, and #2056.

I'll have to look at the site more later, very pretty though!

the celtic ones mostly look very you-can-buy-me-in-claire's to me, although in general i'm a big celtic knot fan. i'm fonder of the filigree ones with garnets and the giant fancy ones with mother of pearl and onyx.

Ooooh. I love rings but I lose them faster than anything, which is why I rarely wear them.

But ooooh those are so pretty. *wants!*

Those are really pretty! It's a good thing I no longer can remember what size in rings fits, because otherwise I'd be buying at least a dozen of them. *g* Also, the toe rings were nice as well. I've always wanted one.

ivanova IS always right. she's the coolest.

yeah, and the rings are so CHEAP, too. it's probably a good thing i don't have any money right now. although who knows what will happen when i get paid. >.>;

european and american ring sizes are really different though (and uk are even MORE different. and there are 'japanese' as well, although hopefully they use the same as europe). and the calculation is sort of complicated, for american sizes. i tried to do it by hand and got it wrong (of course, no one ever said i was a math genius...). i guess one could just use the computer's built-in calculator.

Just out of curiosity, how are the American ring sizes defined? Because I think the European is simple the diameter of the ring in millimeters (number 12 ring size = 12mm). Or at least this is the way the Finnish ring sizes work. Hmm, I could almost bet there is some EU directive that defines how ring sizes should be defined in all the countries of the European Union. Damn bureaucrats! *g*

the formulae are, according to one site, (http://www.jewellerycatalogue.co.uk/ring-sizes.htm)

To calculate:

American size= (diameter-11.54)/(0.83)
Japanese size= (diameter-12.67)*3
European size= circumference-40
