sooooo i haven't done anything today. i almost cried when [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism went to bed because i feel like i've barely gotten out of bed, let alone accomplished anything. she pointed out she'd been home for four hours--as if that were a long time. i frequently take that long before i make breakfast. witness today--up since noon, and i haven't eaten anything but chocolate cookies till a half hour ago. basically, i suppose the point of this entry is that i've been extremely lazy and that laziness doesn't feel good. i wonder if i have a hangover from taking some xanax last night. i really didn't feel well, and i thought i felt an anxiety attack coming, and i was in that unpleasant tired-but-wired state anyway, so i took two. well... at least i slept well.

and i made like 600 caps of pirates of the caribbean today, which i will post later here and to [livejournal.com profile] cap_it, and learned HOW to make caps, and made a lot of phantom of the opera icon bases from caps posted to [livejournal.com profile] cap_it by somebody named [livejournal.com profile] gnomeofsol who is evidently even more compulsive than me because there are 5200 of them (not exaggerating here!), like, almost every frame of the entire movie. (downside is low quality, but i'm still mesmerised by the possibilities vis-a-vis animated icons.)

It sounds like you did a lot today. Take a break from the computer, dare I suggest ;) Anyway, there are days when you just feel unproductive. Tomorrow will be better. Just don't stay up getting more wired & stretched out.

Or else, like, do.

*gets coat*

the thing is... i didn't even watch the whole movie, maybe fifteen minutes worth? and i don't really count mechanically opening, re-naming and closing files as doing something. and while the almost-as-mechanical process of lightening, adjusting color, sharpening, and cropping icons IS doing something, it's not doing MUCH, and it doesn't feel very different, mentally, from lying on my back, staring at the ceiling and daydreaming.

and, man. obviously i DO need a break from the computer. but... NOOO YOU CAN'T TAKE IT AWAY i also love it. and a lot of the time i feel like the most important and interesting things in the entire UNIVERSE for me to be doing involve being glued to it. :P

well, somebody, somewhere can probably do anything, but i, personally, can only cap region 2 movies on dvd using powerdvd. only the paid version has that capability, but wax and i both have pirate copies of it. and once you get it the capping is easily configured according to the help file.

Heh. Silly joke. My father expressed... doubt, at the wisdom of sending a DVD to someone I had never met in real life. And suggested that [livejournal.com profile] perhael was in fact sitting in her front room, surrounded by... 500 copies of Meantime. Cackling evilly. Or maybe the cackling was just embellishment of the story, on our part, later. But anyway.
