cimoreneand canadian children's writer robert munsch came up. she sent me to his official website and i discovered that there you can listen to all his stories--including two of my favourite kids' books, murmel murmel murmel and jonathan cleaned up... then he heard a sound. both are hilarious. the former is about adoption (sez the author). the second (sez me) involves, brilliantly, a boy whose apartment is a subway station, the vagaries of bureaucracy, and a jar of blackberry jam.
