it goes to show that the ideal qualities in a writer of brilliant crackfic and in a writer of brilliant serious fic are widely different. but man, i haven't enjoyed crackfic that much for quite a while. it's so funny, and then the scene at the end is so cute.

well, although almost all of my very favourite writers are currently in the fandom and the quality is generally great, that story isn't representative. it's the only crackfic i've seen, and most of the writer's other stuff isn't good enough to rec.
