i updated firefox to 1.0.4 and now quicknote (among other things) doesn't work! i may have to go back to 1.0.2.  i had important notes in there, yo.  and now i can't figure out how to get it open and get my notes out.

You did, wow, finally someone has the same problem. Which version was that then? I think it was from 3 on :S

The one thing I love about my new verions 4, mach b or something is that it opens the tabs behind my active one, so I don't have to keep clicking back. The question is if that's worth the non-searchable LJ posts (my posts are long and complicated). I can live with the random search function glitches by now *long suffering sigh*

i never know you could search posts with it. or rather, i heard of it once, and when i went back to search for the extension, i ended up with something i wasn't able to figure out how to open and... okay, now i look down and the toolbar has suddenly just appeared above the status bar and i KNOW it wasn't there a minute ago... o.0. talk about random. um. but at least, until thirty seconds ago, it only popped up when i DIDN'T want it, and it would vanish when i tried to click on it, so it was pretty much worse than useless.

however, it's still opening new tabs in the foreground even though i've set it to put them in the background. i wonder if that's the fault of the tabbrowser extensions plugin, though.

? No extension. I meant that if you press ctrl+f in the new versions, you cannot search a post you are currently editing, nor some tables in other pages, it does not recognise the words there. I have no extensions anymore. I had launchy and then I had download manager because nothing dl-ed but now, clean slate. If possible.

no, i got that that was what you meant. but i didn't know that firefox had a built-in find function until you mentioned it. the particular problem, which was with the find-in-page extension, seems to be over with, thank god.

there are a lot of extensions i like, and some i thought i couldn't live without--unfortunately one of those is quicknote, which isn't up-to-date with the current release of firefox yet.
