lierdumoa is a lovely, slow and bittersweet gen vid of s1 sga (although with suggestions of some pairings, i think, if you want to look for them; they were all ones i liked).
just the other day in chat we were discussing vids and how rare really good vids to slow songs are. i was thinking at the time that i'd like to see one. now i have!
i'm a long-time fan of dar williams, but would never have chosen her for this fandom. the choice of song intrigued me so i watched it anyway, and i was astonished by the aptness of it and the bittersweet beauty of the whole thing. the vid is gorgeous, and it made me fall in love with the song and with my show all over again. she also uses not-so-commonly-vidded clips to great effect, which as
i_naiad was saying makes a great difference. (some of them i couldn't place; it's making me want to run off and rewatch season one. well, the dvds should be here in a week.) this vid even made me look charitably on season one elizabeth, who is mainly in the habit of irritating the hell out of me.
