cimorene: medieval painting of a person dressed in red tunic and green hood playing a small recorder in front of a fruit tree (this is awkward)

sitting on wax's side of the desk increases my chances of having a kitty sit on my lap by nearly 100%. nice! although tea, the insane little bugger, won't settle down--she keeps turning in circles and whatnot. she's very funny with the corner of wax's pink and white sheet draped over her like a little cloak. she looks suspicious.

had a very nice gathering at [livejournal.com profile] anglepoiselamp's last night. we watched withnail & i, which i liked even better than the first time i saw it, although [livejournal.com profile] emmuzka and [livejournal.com profile] shiroi_chi were unimpressed. and then we watched an episode of dr who about ghosts and a documentary about an obscure gay german performance artist. i was very impressed with sugar's copious amounts of knitting, and her speed. also, i want to watch the rest of dr who now. (i wonder where i recognise eccleston from? i need to look that up. aha! the others. it's odd--he sort of reminds me of ralph fiennes. i think it's something in the facial features, but i can't exactly place it.)

emma led chi and i the short way home--around past the front of the stone church. it hadn't snowed yet then, but the grass and the church were crusted in two days' worth of frost crystals. we walked through the enormous churchyard. a streetlight turned on for us. it was very beautiful. and then chi and i decided that we must have another t-shirt making party soon, regardless of whether wax wants to participate. chi wants them before christmas. anyone else interested? and if so, time preferences?

ahhah. now tea's burrowing in the sheet. and she keeps starting conversations. "mrrr." "really?" [pause] "mweeeee!" "oh." i think she likes the manics. oh! and it snowed last night or this morning. i don't think it will stay, it's mostly gone from the streets again. a respectable layer, though.

I'm definitely interested in a t-shirt making party. I can even throw in a printing sablona kit. (hm. Where I could find that SGA Pegasus logo?)

i don't even know what that logo looks like, although i've seen the communities. maybe you could find it with an interests search.

also, what is sablona?

Eccelston was also in Shallow Grave and Jude, plus probably a bunch of other stuff too. He's really quite an excellent actor.

I was never a big Dr Who fan, but the latest series was great.

i don't THINK i've seen either one of those, but i do feel i've seen him somewhere besides the others and dr who, so i could be wrong...

Hee. Glad you had fun. :)

Chi at least wants to see Withnail & I again, so we may yet win her over!

And I'm all for t-shirt making. Preferrably sometime in the beginning of December, when I'll have money to get more t-shirts. But I have one t-shirt that I've been saving for this purpose, so I guess earlier is okay too.

Time-wise, anything goes, and I'm okay to wait for December. And um, may I bring a friend? ([livejournal.com profile] gabriellemb, who went into spasms of glee over the thought of the 'for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture' shirt and is really cool and fannish, so that shouldn't be a problem at least.)
