i have been encouraged to name my five favourite simple pleasures, but find that my brain feels disorganised and discontent. also, i feel weird and hope it's just that i've been awake fourteen hours, and nothing untoward like a cold. i have a feeling i could remember five things i enjoyed today, like reading
sinden's partially-completed sga harlequin novel and reading about project runway on television without pity, but those don't really count as simple pleasures, and i haven't exactly been plunging my bare hands into the bowl of life's bounty or whatever today. no dancing by myself to shameless music, no long walk in the snow through the trätorg just because, not one instance of chocolate consumption. granted, i did eat a clementine, which ranks near chocolate (although not excellent chocolate) on my personal scale of beloved flavours; but they aren't earth-shaking enough to get that high on the list of simple pleasures. plus, it's not like
perhael cares, because she's on her way to paris today.
the dreamhost newsletter this month is a parody of the chronic-what-cles of narnia. ahahahahha. HEART.
today i got up really, really early because it was the last day to pre-register for language courses. around nine i went to the office and the lady told me that... you don't have to pre-register. well, that's just great, how was i supposed to know that? i'm not a mind-reader, for crying out loud [/weird al]. but seriously, what i said was "oh good", but what i'm thinking is why isn't that on your website or, here's a radical idea, in the course catalog?
