legolas/gimli icon cartoon joyfulness!

i love legolas/gimli! even though i've only written one fic for them, i love them to pieces, i really do. and they're. so cute. and in love. and. yes. the pointy ears. dude, i want a boy with pointy ears!

and i uploaded my sam/frodo icon again because i couldn't not after reading billthepony's wonderful sam/frodo preslash stories. ;)

in my dream i was a chimpanzee, going to a private high school for chimps, but there was one baboon there. i was sitting next to him during a school play and we started off making fun of it, and then we were making out. --makes perfect sense, right? then we both turned into people and were going to a house party held by these scarily rich people who had a golf course inside their house as well as a lot of barbie toys left over from their daughter's infancy, and part of the entertainment was a large group of children. we were out by the pool, and these children were all scary, including andrew and jonathan, the babies i like to babysit--they were catching pigeons and pulling their wings off and stuff. the climax of the dream was when the ex-baboon and i figured out they had been drugged. oh, the evils of wealth!!

saw fox. cute little red fox running outside after horrid squirrel. yay. fox cute! <--has never seen fox before

my grandpa was bitten by a rabid fox once and had to get 10 shots in the stomach.

it is raining. ick! ick! --making up for the beautiful weather yesterday, i guess. [edit: it is now snowing--was all ready to hate massachussetts--then a big dry flake drifted by my nose about the size of a nickel, big enough to make out the details of the ice crystals and i relaxed. life is beautiful. i can handle my hair being full of snow.]

the naked editor walks under my window, frowning. wearing a sweater. a sweater! helLO? NAKED? grrrr.

i love my cool greek professor.

*floats away, reciting "what is on your desk" and "oh really? i don't want money" in japanese*

in other news: still snowing and it's sticking and SO pretty! yay! family visiting from the Deep South in two days will be impressed.

live journal's [few and far between!] shortcomings

is it just me and everyone i've talked to about it in the last five days, or is live journal loading extremely slowly? i can get into the entry pages for the people with paid accounts, and usually into the main pages. can't access my friends list, or the comment pages about half the time, or... arg. and a lot of journals won't load either.

how am i supposed to waste time if livejournal won't work?!

also. raise your hand if you're likely to ask someone what is on their desk or in their purse in casual conversation. ...exactly. i think chapter 6 should teach us how to say "stupid" and stuff like that. of course, there's always "boring," "strange," "scary" and "problematic." [baka, tsumaranai, hen, kowai, taihen. if you cared.]

why would roommate #2 lie to #1 and myself about whether she was yet having sex w/ the bf, especially when she knew #1 has been having sex for 3 years AND that i also knew about it? the lying is really getting bothersome. --am i being obsessive and anal about this? i mean, *technically* it's not my business, but part of building the roommate bond is talking about things that aren't technically your business, right? along with watching movies late at night, taking out the trash together, eating in the dining hall en masse, leaving little notes signed with a "<3" on the door?
