MORE procrastination
3 May 2002 09:43 amisn't it great the way my brain works? i have a test that i haven't studied for in twenty minutes. i study during breakfast--come back to study, but first just check livejournal. oh, no new entries? well, then, let's check mail. no mail, so let's clean the inbox. oh, let's turn on some music. now watch me edit my playlist or something *slaps herself.* i should have learned how to not give a damn a long time ago. am starting to, but demonstrably not there yet, as i'm sitting here squirming about it. hmph. babylon 5 icon might be nice... ok, and now look at me thinking about making icons again, which i only spent like 8 hours doing yesterday, instead of studying? riiiiiiiight. oh, my life is fantabulous.
[edit: my naina got petted some more. must email ally. and finish beta'ing and editing of long-finished domlij. poor little me.]

3 May 2002 09:55 am"I had a friend in college, well, I take that back, he wasn't a friend, he was some guy who was really annoying, followed me around, and I couldn't get away from him . . . anyways, one day he was playing with a gun, and he shot himself in the leg. Where was I going with this again?"

ok, well, test has been successfully failed, and i think the greek professor is finally disappointed in me. i'm well past the point of caring now. got the beauty now available: all sizes, all colors shirt. it is unfortunately a bit large, but i'm indulging myself by chopping it to little bits. it's going to lace down the sides when i'm done with it, oh yes. the next one i order will be a small. the question is: cutting shirt or sleeping first? decisions, decisions. winamp keeps crashing. and where's my holls? i'm all anxious all of a sudden. i know most of it's my fault for studying all week, but--*whine.* where did she go?
the perfect dessert
3 May 2002 02:33 pm(1) serving raspberry lowfat frozen yogurt
(1/2) serving golden grahams cereal, dry
a sprinkling of chocolate sprinkles.
1. put raspberry yogurt over the golden grahams.
2. put sprinkles over the yogurt.
3. leave it all alone for 20 minutes or so. the yogurt should have almost completely melted.
4. stir it up with a spoon. the effect should be like cereal with sugary raspberry milk, only colder and scattered with chocolate.
excuse me while i slide into a little puddle of contentment on the floor. i'll just be over here, melted and filled with raspberry sugar-milk. mmmh. mmmmmmmmmh.

3 May 2002 06:13 pmmy roommate #1 went out to lunch with the in-love-best-friend (/homewrecker) and on the way back, on the town common they saw a huge book sale and she bought ten books, used, for $10. oh the jealousy. i love, love those, but storage over the summer is going to end up being at least $40 a month already, i think--and i also think they do it by weight. i may have to throw some things away when i go. boy is packing gonna be fun. but anyway, it completely made her day. she's been excited and boisterous since then, and she's positively adorable. my other roommate was also being quite cute writing her paper. i think she's a bit reserved, like me, which makes it a little harder for us to relate to each other, but she is nice. either i'm in a mood to like ev'ryone just now, or possibly it's the end-of-the-year lightness. also, here's my brand new icon: i've been looking for a screencap of this pose of uhura's from mirror, mirror, one of the best tos episodes. i have a new one of picard too, but i couldn't part with any of the other new ones yet.

wax_jism, america, even more so than finland, is large enough to have more than one regional dialect. and social registers within the dialects, for that matter. i've spent the last thirteen years of my life in one place.]

femmeslash rec, anyone?
3 May 2002 08:00 pmi feel like reading some femmeslash. could someone rec me some, please? any genre, although it's possible i've read nearly all that exists for the west wing. no, i take that back, i avoided the abbey/anyone pairings. if one of them happens to be good, feel free to punch a hole through my flimsy little prejudice.
