the adventure of the day.

my housesitting job involves walking two dogs at once, once a day. each dog is a mostly-newfoundland thingy. large, shaggy, sincere, squashed face, flagged tail. shaved body, since it's so hot in alabama. penny is penny colored and bear is black. they BOTH look like bears.

they dragged me on the whole "walk," which was actually a bit more of a run. they were actually, i think, trying very hard to be good. otherwise they could have dragged me the whole way, and when i said "penny! bear! good puppies. yessss," they tended to perk their ears up, if not actually look at me.

wax_jism: i wouldn't go walk with TWO newfies. i mean, that could be dangerous. like, what if they simultaneously spot two DIFFERENT cats?
cim thing: well, as i said, they were very nice about it
wax: i'd be torn in two.
cim thing: they did see one cat. that was funny. it was on the other side of the street
wax: i mean, blacky already can injure me when he spots a cat.
cim thing: it's very good i had both the leashes retracted to, like, three feet long.
wax: and he's half the size of a newfie.
cim thing: they're really good. i just yanked really hard on their leashes three times for each step i took. it worked out fine.
wax: good.
cim thing: as long as i kept calling their names.

have been unreasoningly depressed for most of the afternoon, excepting some chatting, which brings out my playful side. i guess. i now almost want to cry and have very little idea why. i certainly don't have pms. one of those moods where nearly everything in creation is annoying and grating and i just want to be alone, but mom offered to call gateway tech support for me and take me shopping tomorrow, so i can't go hide at the housesitting house and watch movies.

soon, soon, i promise myself.

you know, depression is contagious? my mom and dad being short-tempered, even or especially if not at me, makes me want to curl up and whimper. wax_jism's moods terrify me. i got hollsk's pictures, finally, but she's in nova scotia with no internet; i can't communicate with steve, jennifer, etc, and i haven't seen girlinthetree or kmazzy for, like, a week, even though both of them got im recently. i am stuck on a story, too. only a paragraph in the last three weeks. *fretfretfret*
