1. i've just now realized that i disagree with a lot of the treatment of the relationship between ray k and stella that i've seen in due south.

too hard to explain at this juncture. especially this sleepy.

2. out of curiosity, when did it become acceptable for the dentist to call before 8:30 am to remind you of an appointment six days away?

i get an email asking if it's okay to rec a story. i'm confused. does anyone ever say no to this? i mean-- 'no! no one should read my stories. grrr.' i said yes quite politely and suggested that she stop asking, because, yo. not that i particularly mind being asked, but she did have to wait a few days...

two notes.

1. when i was little, i was afraid of mouthwash. i mean, not like 'aiiieee, it's in the closet,' but afraid to put it in my mouth.

2. fantasy and sf, as a genre, thinks it is better than everyone else mostly in self-defense, even though it is correct.

i like ray bradbury, actually, but a ray bradbury title challenge strikes me as so silly that i'm struck too dumb to even fall over giggling, which is what i'd really like to do, and the great thing is that it's contaminated the whole genre with pretentiousness (not that it didn't already have that problem anyway), and there are all these metaphoric stories floating around with metaphoric titles and little bnf kisses back and forth, only colder because they don't say 'kiss.' some of them are good.

i love the things that i hate, sometimes. heh.

was there dinner and i just missed it?

i'm confused. and hungry. and i don't want to live in the same house with my mom another day.

edit: so okay, i can handle my mother. step two is to be able to do it without wanting to strangle things slowly with my bare hands until their eyeballs pop out.

i feel off-balance. i think tomorrow i shall do work, and that will make me feel better. the back of my neck is hot.
