okay. so then yesterday, someone who recently joined iconsensual, which i own with oneko_briar--purrkitten, if anyone knows her ::shrug::--posted a comment to a post in that community using this icon.

aynatonal, did you tell her she could have it? it seems a breach of icon etiquette to me to use it otherwise even if you're not using it anymore. and a little odd even so because quite a few people associate it with you. (i didn't look at the name when i saw the icon, assumed it was you right away!)

most people probably don't remember a minor kerfluffle in lotr rps about... six months ago, a little more... maybe last march, which was largely responsible for making me sour on that fandom. my story burn, for better or for worse, was one of the earliest sean astin/elijah wood fics in the fandom because i got in early, and wizardlex's gorgeous diary made me long for a happy ending for them and i had a lot of free time.

(in the long run i'd say for better, as i believe it's a good part of what won my wax_jism to me--or at least, to first im'ing with me. ;-) )

so recap: scary seanlij mothafuckahs made me so shaky and scared that i wanted to take the story down, briefly, and fretted a good deal and got righteously angry (how dare they even READ it! it's MY story! don't think your pervy out of touch with reality 'it's true' thoughts in connection with MY WORK!) and the upshot of all of this was that i gave the story to wax. in theory, it belonged to her, then, not me, so it was her responsibility to lay the smackdown on them. which she didn't need to do because she's obviously above everyone anyway (<--possibly some slight editorializing on my part).

i can still smell hair dye in here.

after five pages i will.

my label for this icon is 'sad,' but you can't really tell. she's ducking her head, but she could be embarrassed or delighted or gripped with one of those shivers of grief and longing. if you're a drama queen like me, it makes you feel better to hang your head when that happens as opposed to smashing a lid on it before it can escape. i'm thinking about it--had some of those moments at work today--and it's making the back of my neck and the skin on my arms and the backs of my hands prickle, like anxiety, but not. my heroine feels it that way too.

i need a pomegranate icon.

the other day i had a song! epiphany where you suddenly realize just what a song is talking about... what was it, a queen song? --and now i can't remember which. godDAMMIT.
