i thought i was writing a road trip, but seven out of ten pages have passed with no particular sign of one.

look, i don't really mind that. and suddenly the road trip, which first wanted to be a dream and then wanted to really happen, is now talking about happening both ways, and i don't know what it's doing. i doubt it will help if i bang my head on things. also my tea's gone cold.

OH! it was dido! "thank you"! that was what i had an epiphany about a few days ago. i'll let you know what the epiphany was when it comes back to me.

The stations are part of the Floating World too even though they are in space. It's true that they float, but of course everything floats in space; it is the floating cities which are important, and you can't even tell that until you're out of one of them. The shuttle that takes her to Ishtar Station for the first time--the sabbatical year before matriculation, which Perwian has mostly spent in the New Damascus library and the computerized nerve center--is the first to carry her away from her mother's city, and when she looks at the viewscreen, she's astonished to see it floating like an angular collection of jewels caught in wire nets above the surface of the blurry blue and white earth, like a feather or a scrap of colored paper on the surface of water, and all the air between New Damascus and Old (a dark speck in the white and blue by now, smaller even than New) is the water.

well, i just realized that i've got a spanish paper due in ten days and a midterm in logic the friday after that. have been skipping both of those classes. i seem to be attending one out of three in spanish. must stop that. or rather, must start going.

lord of the rings kerfluffle update

it's like news of the weird, all right here in my very own journal for your perusing pleasure. in chronological order:

1. no link: andraste_oz has another minor nervous breakdown over the kerfluffle and worries, in a locked post, that that is why people unfriended her (wonder where she got that idea?). all the joy is gone from the story and possibly the fandom. also people are blaming her.

3. daisy_gamgee threatens to quit if anyone mentions the debacle kerfluffle again, says some other stuff and deletes the post half an hour later.

2. here mirabellawotr responds to the deleted post. don't be drinking anything when you read it.

3. daisy_gamgee posts, again with the comments turned off, and i quote the post in its entirety: "goodbye for a while."

4. daisygamgee--a sockpuppet--in scary coincidence of the day, posts i hope you all burn in fucking hell.
