cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (sad)
maybe i'll not rec any lotr rps after all. it's making me shake with anger, just flipping through the archive trying to find things. ::spits::

all right. that's it. i give up. dude, i found one of my stories there that i didn't even remember having posted to any lists. and, like. like. it's dom/billy, and i can't really write dom/billy, even though i did it for [livejournal.com profile] southpaw526, and when you read it you can tell that i wasn't convincing myself. or maybe that's just me.

anyway, it provided a scant moment's amusement. lalala.

daddy wants me to go out dancing tomorrow. or to write my essay. ::scowl:: make up your mind, silly daddy!

well, first there was some kind of ymca day camp, in a really dirty place with graffiti on the walls, and my dad had left me there and i was angry, and he came to get me, but he couldn't find me and we were looking for each other in this musty abandoned library, and in a playground and on a rickety iron staircase. and then there were two cars, and my whole immediate family was driving around in them. i guess one parent was driving each one. and i'm not sure where we were going.

but in the end we were in this very large... mall-like building and there was a spanish class? only it was more like a children's hands-on museum, but with my high school spanish teacher in charge of it. she had a lot of different kinds of rabbits in cages and i was talking to her, and some of them were behind a carpeted wall with just their heads sticking through holes (alive, though, and very alert) and while i watched, they jumped out and went into the rest of the museum and she sent me to get them, only no one knew i had already graduated. there was a lot of flying over walls. and slithering down these fabric tubes. and part of the display had a lot of birds' legs glued to the wall, which i hoped were cast in resin, but wasn't sure. and then i found my parents and my sister, in this other part, watching these people dressed in a unicorn suit. there was more flying. then when i got back out, i had to take a test. and i had to write the answers in pencil on this black foam cylinder and my messy handwriting made 'hombre' look like 'hmbre,' so i erased it--and erasing it made the same thing i'd written pop up from the cylinder in relief. this happened until the thing was practically covered with misspellings and i had to write in giant caps over them all.

and then, thank goodness, i woke up.

don't seem to be sleeping well, do i?

[livejournal.com profile] mirabellawotr has weighed in on the probable gayness of dom and elijah, among other things. i have to disagree with you, mira--why write TREES on your hands if it WASN'T a secret message, huh?

answer me THAT one.

who the fuck sets a story in comic sans? and for that matter, who READS such a story? ::continues reading::

at least doyle isn't married to his father's murderer, working in a club and propositioning bodie for a threesome. brings new meaning to 'au,' although i can't think how to fit 'bizarre' or 'crack' into that acronym. fear not--i'll find a way. the best, aren't i? by all the evidence, yes.

or not. i'm sorely ruffled, i warn you all. i remind myself of my darling malevolump cat, you know, shifting about creakily under the table while she glowers at you... whipping out a paw to lick it with fast angry little strokes while she glares balefully. adorable, she is. ::glares balefully::

WHAT?

::hisses::

first that lotr rps last night, and now this. oh god. ::reads some more anyway::

ooh!

o.0 my god, it hasn't even gotten to the letter in the first *three* chapters, waxlet? ::skimskim:: on to the next set, i suppose. i stop when i find the letter, though. a girl only has so much patience. well, perhaps said impatience could be greatly increased by oatmeal, hot tea, and chocolate. we'll see! ::eyebrow waggle::

oy! 9.9 why do writers think this is a good idea? why? the grief, the misery. yawn.

*Is that it? Would Gillian tell me that I should love Bodie because they were so alike, I might as well have one as the other?* He couldn't believe that, couldn't believe she could argue something so sophistic. No, she would only tell him such a thing if she truly believed he harbored sentiments deeper than he'd ever been cognizant of. She knew him better than anyone else, even sometimes better than he knew himself, except maybe for... Bodie. Well, there it was again.

ahahahahah! ::pets the author gingerly::

BARBIE'S WEBLOG. stolen from [livejournal.com profile] jalfred. look at her to-do list, and chelsea's 'look book.' oh dear god.

someone gets paid to do this...

know what you're made of.

AHAHAH IT WAS AN ATOMIC BOMB IN THE BOWLING ALLEY?

::falls over gasping and clutching her sides::

carolyn called about dancing, but i slept through the middle of the day and there's no way i can shower now, in the dark. 'there's only one shower in your house?' she said pointedly. uh. but i've got clairelet, and the shower downstairs is scary and it's snowing and.

tomorrow night is wild asparagus.

tomorrow if she goes, i'm going.

they're all shareable and free to all who want them; if you take one, just please leave a note.

1. 2. 3.
4 more )

1. all are shareable.
2. eminently customizable! most of them have been left blank for *exactly* this purpose! ::beam:: (i'm free-ish this weekend; after that not so much, but feel free to customize them yourselves too)
3. don't ask permission, but leave a little note to satisfy the icon-maker's curiosity, mkay?

inside, mixed indiscriminately, you will find cate blanchett as galadriel and as herself:

1. 2. 3.

and then there are those icons based on artwork:

4. 5. 6.

in all, there are probably close to 40. )

oh, geez, what moronicness! i forgot the img src tag and had posted about five billion icons with a href instead, which, of course, turned the numbers into one long open link to the first icon: twice in my journal, twice in [livejournal.com profile] lotricons and twice in [livejournal.com profile] iconsensual. yes, hit me on the head now. anyway, 's all fixed.

urk.

and also? steer WELL clear of any story with a title like 'the story of us.' or any one with a song title, for that matter. i don't think i've ever seen that much self-important concentrated sap in one place before. i'm just glad for my higher sap tolerance--imagine if my waxlet had stumbled upon it. she'd be violently ill, i'm sure.

anyway, you don't get a link because i've already navigated on to another page. i *did* put the damned thing on my recs page, for having earned my grudging respect with a plot that held together, and intriguing ofc, and being set in the future. so. whenever i upload the new recs, there it will be. ::firm nod::
