holls! there really is someone named roy in my greek class! you can imagine my face when she called on him. i had to cover my face with my hands. if i'm not careful i'll get a reputation for laughing out of nowhere, and people will think i'm insane, and it will be all your fault. i hope you're suitably subdued by this prospect.

GP=greek professor; italics are thought-dialogue

gp: so someone tell me what this verb "gorgizdo" means.
class: ...
gp: obviously, this is a made-up verb; it means "to speak like gorgias."
me: obviously.
gp: so, ... cim, tell me how to say "i will speak like julian[the boy sitting next to me]." the first thing we have to do is figure out how to make the "j" sound...

a few minutes later--

gp: so, tzouliaso: i will speak like julian. julian, tell me how to say "you will speak like julian."
julian: i think someone else should have to say it. and they should have to say it like me.
[laughter]
gp: alright. roy.
roy: uhm... tzoulia...seis.
gp: right!
[laughter]
gp: of course, you can make fun of anyone you like in this way.

which is what i wanted to do. but i'm not really speaking like anyone but myself.

<--miffed look. picture a little scowl, like >:-|

also: IT SMELLS LIKE URINE IN THE STAIRS AGAIN. why me????
