dreamland

had a dream about trying to find matching clothes while trying to soothe the cousin with cerebral palsy and get her into her wheelchair. kitten_head and panda and i had gone to pick her up at school and the teachers left, and they'd turned off the school lights, and i for some reason had to change clothes. there was a rack of clothes in the room but i couldn't get a matching outfit. finally i ended up in offwhite corduroys, a baby blue peasant blouse, a white lambswool sweater flecked with rainbow dots of ... stuff, and a white polartec 300 sherpa jacket.

yeah, weird. but i woke up oddly chipper and wax cuddled me and now she's like, ::suspicious:: 'why are YOU all chipper?' la la la.

wanted:

one hollsk. sense of humor required. ability to live with eccentric imaginary characters a plus. pregnancy desirable but not absolutely essential. enquire within.

multiple spam servings for the price of one.

wax has never seen:

bell, book and candle
breakfast at tiffany's (or any other audrey hepburn films)
rear window or psycho, or any hitchcock except the birds, vertigo, and n/nw

admittedly, i haven't seen my fair lady or roman holiday (though the latter is excused on grounds of being depressing) (mommy said so).

her parents don't like old movies. or rather, they didn't have a vcr.

dude, old movies are MUCH more important to cultural literacy than MODERN movies. and she dares to criticize! hmf. and she wants to make me watch WAR movies. (!!!) (she says, 'war movies! i've seen old war movies'--possibly missing the point, i can't tell). and she has seen murder on the orient express but not casablanca. we're more even there. and! and! she saw a clockwork orange because it was on tv.

wax thinks this dress is not meant to be worn with a bra (which means, coincidentally, 'good' in swedish). umm, what was i--oh yeah. but the nipple thing is just weird. it's beyond indecent, into amusing. wax says this is my fault for 'having indecent nipples.' yes, well, i've tried to tell her this before. now it's not clear--should i apologize? or, hey, mom. it's from your side of the family, no? and wax says her family has 'harmless' nipples. watch out for mine, boys. you could break something.

i told you wax has the world's most adorable profile, then i promised mamahooch pictures. i just didn't realize how hard it is to get a picture of her.

i need some polo shirts. the long sleeved ones from express are no go; the sleeves are always too short. know what i REALLY want? a rugby shirt. like an official one from some team somewhere. you can probably get surplus ones online. anyone know where?

i made icons of the cute pics of wax. but i haven't decided which to use. also, one of that earlier set of pictures of us together.

mommy bought me this dress to wear in finland at mece's new year's party.

but i wasn't here yet, i was at home, moping, as these entries can attest. now i'm in finland and i put it on this afternoon for only two purposes:

1. so wax could say in her best grudging tone, 'well, it IS a nice dress.'
2. so i could take pictures for kk.

hello? i mean, his JOB is to sit at his fucking desk all day and answer questions. he's been back at work for a week and a half. so what the fuck? it's not that hard. it's on his computer. he just has to click 'reply' and then 'attach.'
