wow, this icon kerfluffle is getting more fun all the time, isn't it? 9.9

here we have advanced the theory that stealing icons is not murder, and that therefore, people should be allowed to steal them in an icon community, and we should just grin and bear it!

wow.

kind of freaky when you witness a humongous debacle mirrored on lj, and then a year later, the psycho turns up under a new username (known to everyone, i thought, but maybe this is just because i read [livejournal.com profile] fayemeadows's journal). et voila, a new fandom, and new friends, who are apparently not cognisant of the whole freaky-bizarre history. on my friendslist! blowing kisses and such. remembering past debacles, and anticipating new ones, and talking to people who are friendly with people who annoy me, are all particularly nettling. shut up. i know i'm spoiled. (or do i get to say 'spoilt' now i'm converting to british spelling?)

o.0 [mr horse] nossir. i don't like it. [/mh]

only not a real bunny exactly, because it was just a sort of MUST WRITE THIS imperative, without any sort of plot, right? well, [livejournal.com profile] phineasjones found my lazy ass a website about it, AND...

...no, get ready.

...he not only has a kid, but is engaged for sure and maybe MARRIED?

i call that EXTREMELY ANNOYING. i hate when canon gets in the way of a bunny! >.< does the 'write this' imperative go away? no! can i just write an unhappy ending or a non-serious fling? no! (we're talking about ME, here.) can i just steal the plot from myself?

no.

well, really. how dare he? NOW what am i supposed to do, engage in comical contortions of implausible possibilities to explain how he's not really serious?* or was just forced into an engagement to save her from some unpleasant situation, in shades of 19th century romance novels?

*probably

when someone recs just two stories, and one of them is yours, and you don't like the other one?

okay, and now i have people withOUT livejournals asking me if they can use the mood icon set. since the mood icon set does not belong to me and was offered for use not publicly but in a closed community, i say that it is not in my power to give it to her. response, with a vastly eloquent standard-issue red frowny face, is that i am 'rude' and need to 'chill out.'

this would not be nearly so irksome if i were not exercising such great restraint to be civil to people who annoy me with their rudeness.

okay, well, the request in itself was phrased politely enough; it's the fact of it itself that is not overtly rude, but certainly of debatable politeness, on top of which she apparently cannot be bothered to type the words 'you' and 'are.' (now, cut your typing time for three-letter words by 2/3!)

running the community is a bit problematic, but still very rewarding, in the form of talented artists, and there are morons hanging around, but it's still a nice community that wouldn't exist otherwise. i just need some more practice with deep breathing and ignoring.

<3 at [livejournal.com profile] phineasjones.

Rumour has it that Karl has had a partner for many years, and a young son. However he refuses to be drawn on his personal life. (and here's the link she sent me, if anyone else is interested.)

this casts enough doubt to generate some bunnies for background, anyway. am still sniffing for inspiration about the spark between karl and viggo, natch. the fact that they met on-set is a good start but perhaps not quite original enough ;).

ow bunnies ow! go away! yeah, okay. bunnies have bitten. i tend to forget somewhat about my former obsession with japan now that it's sort of faded out--rather as if i'd been 10 or 12 and extremely passionate about the power rangers, only it was more like ages 15 to 19. well, regardless, i left it with a ton of japanese trivia, a good start on the culture barrier, a huge store of images, and some japanese conversational skills. (also [livejournal.com profile] aeslis if i get desperate.) i opened this picture, which is taken in a temple courtyard that i'm certain i also possess pictures of (in a similar pose, no doubt). oookay, so we have a setting and a bit of background, and when i blow the dust off the lid of the chest in my mind marked 'japan' and open it more things spill out of it--sort of like the real one under my bed, with the giant calligraphy scroll, three kimono, origami christmas ornaments, wooden plaques, etc. and i'm getting a bit of a seemingly unrelated bunny too! ::bouncebounce:: but i'm sure i'll find some way to wrestle them together in the end.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's emperor meiji's shrine, the one in downtown tokyo. excuse me--not a temple. my god. how many millions of shots of that gateway are there?

closer up.

SQUEE <3<3<3!!!

i don't think they went to kyoto at all, but i so SO want to write a scene there. the scenes are so much more romantic. someone could drop a bandanna and they could have to run back to retrieve it just in time for sunset at ishiyama-dera. )

let's all watch ZoeOnAol and RingMessenger have a little chat of bot-love-LOVE<3.

RingMessenger: Welcome, ZoeOnAol. I am RingMessenger. To embark on your journey, type "home." I will show you the way.
ZoeOnAol: I am very happy for you.
zoe is brave! )
later: is zoe and ringmessenger's fledgling romance doomed to crash into the o'er spreading limbs of the Tree of Miscommunication, and there meet its unhappy end?

time to say farewell... )
