oh look! an e-mail from k'sal. she promised to beta the story and write one herself. i believe the first of those.

also, i almost finished the karggo story today, but for once, i think it's going to need serious revision. if only k'sal had a lot more time. like, no job. and none of her pets sick.

right. about the karggo story, either something's wrong with me (possibly having never woken up this morning, which there IS other evidence to support) or something's wrong with it. or at least, i was having a lot of head-scratching moments this morning. i may have to keep it in cold storage for a few weeks and then come back and try to edit it. right now i can't even figure out what it is that i don't like about it. i read over the last scene i've written and find things i don't remember writing.

it's been a surreal week. i can't even remember how long ago that interview was (and consequently, how long i have to stay almost entirely off the internet). and even though i'm sweating now, like, in the 80s--it was down in the forties or fifties INSIDE MY ROOM all night.
