it's been an uneventful day here. i mastered phone-typing yesterday and then today i didn't want to use up any more minutes, and i've been sleepy. i took a nap in dad's hospital bed ('do you want me to get you an iv?' said his nurse. 'a shot?' 'no, thass okay,' i said and went back to sleep) and now i have a very credible bedhead.

in the most exciting news yet, the day before yesterday we ate at lennox mall in this little cafe called the corner bakery. had sinful pasta salad and a sandwich of tomato and mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. MMM. ohgod.
