the housekeeping woman who just knocked on the door is afraid of dogs. i had to lock perry in the smaller bedroom before she would come in! now she's cleaning the bathroom. i'm going to take him home and give him a bath and do the laundry and (try to) pack up mom and dad's bed for easy transport on wednesday (when we're MOVING omg). so hopefully she'll be okay and able to vaccuum in peace. (XD)

i slept for almost twelve hours. unfortunately napping till 8 means that when you go to bed at 11, it's hard to go to sleep. also, for unknown reasons, an attack of weirdness. i almost cried, for no apparent reason, and was trembly, and i had to take a xanax and put my pillow at the foot of the bed so i could reach to cuddle the dog. i went to sleep with my face buried in the ruff at the back of his neck and my arm wrapped around his ribs. (he had a bath two weeks ago, so he doesn't smell really dirty, just... puppyish.) he's so sweet to let me get away with shit like that when i'm sure it must be terribly uncomfortable.

several of our attendants seem to adore the lifetime network. i've seen more the nanny in the last few weeks than i used to when i wanted to watch it as a teenybopper. today she changed her hair twice mid-ep. god, how did i not notice how abysmal the writing was when i was little?

the phone picked a really annoying way to be broken, ie it rings every thirty seconds and it's not possible to answer the damned thing. it rings one and a half times every thirty seconds, to be precise. am on the verge of unplugging it.

feel very productive as packed kitchen necessities, unmade beds, did laundry and bathed dog. am now sweaty. go me.

eta: i figured out how to make it stop. or rather i made it stop by pushing a lot of buttons; i'm not sure exactly WHAT i did.

doo wop

i found a half a power cord that works with my laptop's adapter so i can plug it in again. it's gray instead of black, but my mom probably won't notice i took it. (and actually, i have no idea what it goes with--it was just lying on my desk in the library.)

as a veteran of school and church fair face-painting, i'm used to using powdered tempera mixed with water and liquid soap on faces. it makes a bright color that goes on well, but then it cracks and peels off.

you experts--drama and whatnot people--what would you use for warpaint on the face (and all over the body) like keira knightley wears as warrior!guinevere in the upcoming 'demystified' king arthur flick? grease paint? but doesn't that rub off?

(i want to know even though i couldn't REALLY make the costume, since my hair WAS like that but i cut it all off and it'd take two years to reach a workable length.)

i wonder if misusing s/'s/s' is a result of mild dyslexia or something.

[livejournal.com profile] thisveryinstant! you didn't tell me your project!

i made icons of keira as guinevere. they're difficult to make icons of because you can't see enough of her costume if it's large enough to show detail. also, the ones with green background don't respond well to contrast-tweaking. maybe i won't upload one.

eek. so depressed. for no reason. why? why???? it must be body chemistry or something. i don't like this. it's scary.

never make icon-changing decisions in any of the following circumstances:

a) in the throes of great emotional upset.
b) having been awake for more than 12 hours, or being otherwise exhausted.
c) having spent more than 5 of the past 12 hours making icons.
d) any combination of the above.
