high point: mary fraser throws her arms around holmes in an OH THANK YOU! moment and he makes the most hilarious, fastidious face, and carefully disentangles himself.
other slashy points: the comfortable domesticity of the end scene: watson says he's not sure he's comfortable with h. being judge and prosecutor. h. laughs at him. they exchange silent looks; w holds out a moment longer, then says it's lucky holmes is unique.
low points: the dead guy's face... ew. the introductory sequence: boring.
a fun episode that lets you follow along and solve the mystery with holmes. watson gets a lot of reaction shots of bemusement. (what are we doing NOW? we're going to the shipyard, of course. ...oh, of COURSE.)(watson, search the carpet. for what? for wax. ...of course. for wax.)
also the guest star, the female one that is, was very beautiful.
