the lovely wolfsage has recommended that i see richard iii with sir ian, and i can't wait to do so. shakespeare + sir ian, with bonus points cause he's playing a sexy villain! what could go wrong?

speaking of evil, i saw two of my favorite high school teachers today. mr. truhett, the pervy republican, was by far my favorite, but i dozed off and ended up arriving too late, and visited much longer with ms. warren. by the time we got around to gay marriage his second period class had arrived. he agreed with me that it's disgusting to use the constitution in such a way and he even says that there should be no anti-gay-marriage legislation--even though he doesn't want to see 'homosexual marriage' 'normalized.' i was going to come out right then and there but i decided i wanted more time and a smaller audience for that. i bet i can get him. he thinks extremely highly of me.

also, i got expensive chocolate. those little spherical lindt milk chocolate truffles, that they sell 3/$.099 in the checkout line? yeah, baby.

i mean, okay, i'll read anything by her cause i wuv her and she's fabulous, but this is better than usual even, AND it's connor/murphy. i haven't gone looking but i imagine that most of what's out there in the pairing isn't very good. however, the entry is friendslocked. nonetheless.

stench

somebody apparently put chicken in the garbage yesterday and didn't take it out--an open pail--without mentioning it. so there was this pervasive stench all through the apartment--all of it because it's small. and also the heat's turned up because dad's a freak got a spinal cord injury and can no longer regulate his body temperature. so anyway, this stench gradually fills up the apartment while it gets hotter and hotter. i noticed that it was kinda gross but the gradualness, like i said, tricked me.

then i walked the dog and when i came back... disgusting. i'd taken all the trash out but i had to spray odor neutralizer all around and now that smell is here, and the garbage smell's not entirely gone. it was so stuffy and chemical-smelling that i had to open the window. so dad comes in and says in the tone of voice that indicates i've gone and run over the cat or something, 'CIM! you've got to CLOSE THE WINDOW!'

he keeps bitching and moaning--even though i'm using the computer and the apartment actually has four other rooms--and forces me to close it. i was already headachy and lightheaded from the heat and the chemicals. i'm probably going to have to go lie down in my room with the door closed and my head on the windowsill soon.
