oh my god, that was terrible.

i rate it slightly above the ff.net offerings, despite stupider plot, because it's easier to read properly spelled and punctuated stories. it's also nice when they're not overflowing with botched attempts at shakespearean language.

bwahahahah. the thing is i was LOOKING for jay/silent bob slash.

this is the place for something pithy, clever, and punny about my standards or embarrassment or something. but sadly, i'm all out.

i keep reading this shit. i can't look away. if you read that one, and i tell you it's one of the best i've read, you may experience a small part of my terrified and mesmerized horror. some of it, somewhere, has to be good, right?

eta, on reflection: the story isn't, like, objectively abysmal. it's just that jay and silent bob=angst just... doesn't compute. and then i find the angst overdone, on top of that. silent bob is NOT a girl. at least... if he is, i don't want to read about it.

i'm getting really pissed off at bob's silent, long-suffering, angsty, rejected, unrequited, girly looove for jay.

give me a break, here.

is there some huge pile of evidence for that interpretation of canon that i'm missing? couldn't it just as easily go the other way, if you're dying for unrequited love and an angstfest?

free to all takers.
(if you don't remember yesterday, someone e-mailed me that comment and i thought... wouldn't that make a great t-shirt? sady i don't have enough takers to order them screenprinted.)

'inner smile' by texas, from the bend it like beckham soundtrack. it's hard for me to categorize it genre-wise to give you an idea of what it's like. uh, maybe just top 40? it's not rock or jazz or folk or hiphop, although has hints of the latter. anyway, i really like it.
