um, i'm safe and perry's safe but my back hurts a fucking lot.  and so do my shoulders.  travel was full of ordeals which i guess i'll report on later. 

bonus anecdote:  mom tells me that when she went to an office supply store to buy me the little tropical aquarium page-holder for typists (clear plastic filled with pale blue liquid and a fish) the lady there told her they always sell out of the clownfish ones immediately.  lucky for me they still had one.  :pets the gay fish sex page holder:

on perry's Third Ever Finnish Walk, he encountered a bunny rabbit.

P:  WAIT.  what is... OMG!
me: perry, what is it?
P:  MOMMY!  i think it's... yes, yes!... despite the abnormally long tail, IT IS A BUNNY RABBIT!  it's what i was bred for!
me:  oooooh, wow.  a bunny rabbit.
rabbit: :stops to taunt perry:
P: CAN I GO GET IT NOW?
me:  no, i'm sorry, baby, we're not going to catch the bunny rabbit.  you see, i don't need a bunny rabbit for anything.
P:  :stares fixedly at it:
rabbit: :hops a few steps away, stops again, winks over its shoulder:
P: OMG IT'S RIGHT THERE, LET'S GO!
me:  no, let's leave the bunny rabbit alone.
P:  BUNNY RABBIT.
me:  no, come on.  we're not going to hunt any bunny rabbits.
P:  I'LL BE BACK, YOU BASTARD.
