grumpy young ladies' club, gokusen, opposite of shopping-fu, the storm of cracked-out adorableness

1. the opposite of shopping-fu: shiroi_chi and i shopped for four hours today with the intent of buying: shoes and a bag (her); socks, sweatshirt, pajama pants, tshirts, needles & thread, and plastic trash bags (me). of these things, the only things bought by either of us were socks and sewing notions. yes, not even garbage bags. we are so, so sad.



2. gokusen: i have been delaying a post of pimping for the gokusen manga, which i think really owns (with possibly a detour into some slight pimping for the drama, which owns less but is still fabulous), because i have not had time to go back through my folders of it and make icons yet, and i feel i cannot post about it without them. this manga made my heart go crick over het and made me curse the mysterious but inevitable fact of het fandoms being made of suck more passionately than i have done in years.



3. maybe it's short for "the storm of cracked-out adorableness": i've also been delaying further evidence that Nino is a Really Big Dork as well as varied evidence that arashi would make a pretty good religion (see: the d no arashi sent me by elfiepike in which jun and aiba heat pachinko balls with a flame-thrower for the purpose of seeing how deep a tunnel they will melt in a block of styrofoam, and ohno eats cotton candy frozen in liquid nitrogen). this delay was because i was too occupied in writing a birthday story for aeslis to upload them. 



4. the grumpy young ladies' club: in other news, contemplating the fact that i am so very easily annoyed was depressing me as i wondered whether i was a bad person, until perhael suggested that she and i are both grumpy old ladies. against all reason and logic this not only elevated my mood enormously but made me get sort of misty-eyed. ♥

arashi spam! in: a no arashi's hot pachinko ball + block of styrofoam episode!

this episode will be conducted by Team Crybaby: aiba-chan, with the assistance of jun-in-some-interesting glasses*!

there will also be ohmiya acting married! various substances dipped into liquid nitrogen! how do they act? (and why is ohno putting them in his mouth?) nori put through a paper shredder! pachinko balls heated with a torch! and various appliances powered by a bicycle generator! plus - commentary by cim and elfiepike!

my parents just emailed me another photo from france! here's wax_jism walking towards the shakespeare & company bookstore. i got more excited to see this than i did by many actual tourist attractions in paris. i hadn't actually realised that it was, er, a real place. ♥
