Emotional exertion makes you physically exhausted: I met a very nice, confidence-inspiring, Swedish-fluent, middle aged psychiatrist today, and now I feel as weak as a kitten. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that I feel as weak as if I'd taken a Xanax half an hour ago - languid and foggy, limbs like jelly.

On the plus side, I bought a truly stunning dress for €27 - I may never get to wear it, but I was advised that if something looks fabulous and is that cheap, it's throwing money away not to buy it.
