(no subject)

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to watch tv or read books, which has frozen me in indecision so I'm just doing... nothing. Stupid indecision.

We're having a cold snap. It's still unseasonably warm for this time of year, but it's nice when you've gotten used to going light on the outer garments. I'd pretty much resigned myself to the dearth of snow, but now that it's gotten cold and the snow's still gone I'm a little miffed. On the other hand, it probably won't stay cold for long.

Also on the subject of shoes, I talked to my parents for several hours last night. My mom said they still have a Christmas present (read: the pink sneakers) that they "might send next week". Ahahahem. I said it would be like a Happy January present in that case (more likely a happy March present, knowing my mom, though), and she said, "See! It's a good thing!" They also agreed when treated to a description of my beloved skull and butterfly Vans that those are obviously the coolest sneakers in existence. I'm still not sure if they were humouring me or not...

Has anyone else ever made homemade liquor truffles?

Daddy just sent me his sister's recipe for Bourbon balls, which I've never had before, and I was just wondering if anyone had made/had something quite similar, and could talk about how they would turn out/variations.
