i register at a temp agency.

mom: so do you have a job?
me: well, i'm supposed to call next monday.
her: you should call friday.
me: they said to call monday.
her: but if you call monday what if they have a job monday? you won't be able to do it.
me: but they said to call monday.
her: well obviously they're never going to give you a job at all and it's going to be one of those and you would be better off working at mcdonald's.

Ug. Been there, done that, just replace McDonalds with Whole Foods [Fresh Fields] (it's closer to my house). Just remind her that the temp agency makes money when you work so they have a vested interest in finding you a job. It will be an annoying few days tho *sympathy*
