big people have a little humour, and little people have no humour at all

1. the second quarter starts tomorrow. i'm ready for it to be christmas, ie for the second quarter to be over. also, there are no classes i need offered when i can take them, but what else is new, right?

2. our vaccuum broke like... a month ago. our flat is so, so gross, y'all. sofia keeps coming over with hektor, the puppy of cute, and he amuses himself by eating dust bunnies. no, literally. and they crunch. we really, really need a new vaccuum.

3. wax and i had a long meaningful heart-to-heart last night in which she evolved a theory about why we work so well together, viz that we are both what she calls "burrowers" who like to hide from the world. "we're little mice," she elaborated, "and we want to crawl into our little hole and make a little nest, and line it with shiny things -" (pointing at the solid wall of dvds, cds and books surrounding our monitors). by the time she had moved on to ikea and blankets i was gasping with laughter. it's so true. i am a mouse.

4. i love wikipedia. and satsumas are better than candy.

The world is essentially the same all around, except sometimes with even more bugs and germs and scary people and bad plumbing.

Note that I haven't even been downtown in, I think, over a month. Or to any lectures either. :D
