shows in the order that i loved them
5 Nov 2006 12:22 pmveronica mars this week made me extremely happy by comparing the sheriff to scotland yard, which obviously would make veronica sherlock holmes. now, my little ratlike boyfriend inspector lestrade is never really as combative with holmes - at least not in the interpretation of my personal granada screen-adaptation canon - as the sheriff is with veronica, but i don't really care because the analogy makes me too happy. also it made me happy just by having him and weevil, and in the same episode, too. meanwhile wallace was a dumbass and the rapist plot seems to have taken an interesting turn. i only hope next week we can watch it before saturday.
alan tudyk was on csi! ♥♥♥ he was good, too, i thought, although i'm not sure how far i was with his interpretation of the pedophile as so... weird. like he seemed to have really odd mannerisms the way actors do when they're playing either aliens or total psychopaths, and i'm not sure a pedophile automatically qualifies as a psychopath. i mean, in the more general "sick and bad and insane" sense of psychopath, yeah, but not actual psychopath and therefore perhaps not quite so a) out of touch with reality, or b) devoid of conscience. meanwhile, wax suspects they're planning to kill off grissom because of the weird beginning and ending and the migraines. if they do i will be mightily displeased. also, i'm still feeling the ♥ over nick and greg.
kirsten vangsness is a regular on criminal minds as of season 2, so can she please have some more screentime? i'm just saying, it would make me so happy. criminal minds this week was one of those ones where the mystery and the plot and the victim cam took front seat and the team took the back. we did develop jj's character a little bit, but aside from that not much happened - not even very much screentime for either hotch ordaddy gideon, barely any reid or morgan, let alone morgan/garcia. (although garcia's outfits were as adorable as always.) also, what is with cbs crime dramas and their Hammer of Moral of the Story? we really totally already got the moral of the story, guys. you only had to say it four times. or maybe five. you could have stopped at five. the curly-blond sick high school athlete, though, entertained me by looking so extremely, completely, totally norwegian. like, i almost expected her to start speaking norwegian. also, all the football stuff in pennsylvania. heee. it's funny to think other parts of the country are as mad about it as bama country is (i grew up in the college football capital of the us. i've never been to a game, though, and i don't know the rules: my hatred is intense and all-encompassing. ask me about it sometime when you feel like a rant or two).
torchwood has captain jack, and i really like all the other regulars too, except for the gap between the protagonist's front teeth. i like her hair, i like her clothes, i love her converse sneakers, i love her accent, i dig her flat and her boyfriend and so far i think i'm enjoying her characterisation (at least mostly). the ust with captain jack, which i think someone else mentioned after the first episode, was both hilarious and potentially annoying this time around, though. i'm a little apprehensive about where he intends to go with that. but captain jack is still so enchanting that i would probably watch entirely regardless of her, and his angst is also intriguingly well-done. and the japanese chick is kind of hot.
csi new york was eh. also, i'm seriously disappointed to learn that mac consumes vending machine cupcakes, because ew.
it snowed practically all day and all night. i want to take pictures, but i'm too lazy to go back outside by myself, and wax is very very busy knitting me a sweater vest. so perhaps we'll watch something instead.
