One thing that's pretty satisfying is throwing away ancient probably-putrescent leftovers still in the tupperware. It would probably be better for the environment if tupperwares were more expensive, actually, because then one wouldn't be tempted. Nonetheless: feeling of victory! I threw away wilted lettuce, too. After all, we don't have any rabbits. Or compost.

My parents embarked yesterday (I think) on their Two Day Cross-Country Trek Of The Worst Idea Ever even though my mom wasn't done recovering from a mysterious illness that kept her bedridden for two days with abdominal cramps, nausea, etc. "My doctor just prescribed some anti-nausea and anti-diarrheal stuff so I guess he didn't think it was that serious," she emailed me, causing me to be temporarily overcome with the need to beat my head on the desk. For his part, my dad was like, "Apparently your fifteen-year-old sister who only has a learner's permit can drive even more than we thought." Well, I guess she'd better be able to since Dad, in his wheelchair, can't drive at all, and Mom sucks even when she's not completely sick. I told her to make sure she filled the prescriptions, but apparently you're not supposed to drive on anti-emetics at all, so it's probably just as well that I'm fairly certain she's not going to. And we repeat: for the love of tiny little green boxes, how are they even still alive?

In other news, they totally used "Pretty Handsome Awkward" on the Transformers soundtrack. As well as "Battle Without Honor or Humanity", which was slightly more exciting to me since I unequivocally love Kill Bill while I loathe the McCrackhead, even if his lameass petty bitterness about Gerard breaking up with/pwning him is pretty entertaining and his music is kind of good, okay?. Also a Terminator shoutout and some Linkin Park and some other stuff that wax made us sit through the entire damn credits to read about.

Was the movie any good? Worth seeing?

That's hard to answer. If you thought you would like it, then you probably would. If you thought "Transformers, ugh," then probably not. It's a shiny, deliberately cheesy action flick with great special effects, funny bits, American military heroism, hot chicks, giant robots and things blowing up.

OK, sounds like fun :) It's not like I'll be waiting for a big award-winning drama.

Yeah, my experience of Michael Bay is that it's pretty but there's a lot of stupid stuff mixed in... the dialogue was a lot better this time around, though, unless you count the stuff that, being based on an 80s cartoon, pretty much had to be cheesy on purpose.

Haha, I just opened email from my mom about how two out of three hotels screwed up their reservations and refused to help, one putting them on a second story with no possible fire escape, and then the wheelchair lift broke and the hired medical attendant didn't show up to help mom.

Not that this kind of problem is new. DEAR PARENTS, DON'T TRAVEL. It's really not that hard...
