The *only* part of baking that is not good is doing it on a hot summer day when you don't have AC. Otherwise, it is all good: mixing, kneading (where applicable), sampling, shaping, sampling ... I love it all.

The best bit of baking is in the beginning when I have a bowl of wheat flour and I can poke at it and make the surface all smooth or swirly. :-B
