Okay, even though I hate leggings, I've always loved Lindsay Lohan, ever since The Parent Trap. The high point of her career was Freaky Friday from my point of view, but I've watched most of her godawful teen movies just for her. A Praire Home Companion recently was an astounding relief, being actually good. I even have her pop album. I even like some of it.
But I never suspected her of actually being lesbian! She confirmed it on LoveLine recently (there's not much to read: she and her gf, British dj Sam Ronson, called in and the host asked how long they'd been dating, and she said "For a very long time" - there, now you don't have to go to ONTD or Google)!
I don't know how it feels for everyone else, but for me, it means a lot every time new celebrities that I recognise come out of the closet, even though I'm not in the closet. George Takei was pretty huge for me, but lesbians mean slightly more, and having been a fan of LL since before I realised about myself that I was gay - this feels bigger to me, and just really awesome. I hope those crazy kids are happy.

Date: 24 Sep 2008 12:23 pm (UTC)Though I have to say that she does garner some awesome points for her blog post being the only one that made sense at the time Palin was revealed. Only one that made sense (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080902/ap_en_tv/people_lindsay_lohan) at the time. which garners her, as said, MAJOR awesome points.
(all that aside, I did watch the recent freaky friday more times than I'd like to admit. )
