live show mp3 dilemma

Say you have a really static-heavy interferency mp3 taken by a cameraphone at a live music show.

Anyone have ANY idea how to go about cleaning it up?

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is free software that my husband uses to clean up sound files sometimes. Adobe Audition is better, but expensive. So maybe try Audacity and see if it helps. It's open source so the internet is lousy with free tutorials on how to use it for most simple tasks.

Oh, cool! I've seen that mentioned elsewhere for other stuff. I didn't know it could do that kind of cleanup but I'll definitely look for a tutorial...
