perhael and I have combined our expertise to create this tiny list of readable Stewart/Colbert slash. The thing is, there's really not much to read, and it's hard to find the readable stuff for several reasons, and most of the little that exists is sucky, and... well, sometimes, if you're like us, you might really, really wish for the pairing, and rail at the unfairness of the universe because you can't properly satisfy the craving.

Jon/"Stephen" stories: "Stephen" is code for Colbert in-character - the host of The Colbert Report. All of these are humour, extremely short, and would be preslash if they weren't kind of too cracky.

• Prey Mentality by sailorptah. "Stephen" POV. The one where Jon Stewart's hotness is sexually harrassing him.



• Ratings by roadstergal. The one where "Stephen" wants to use gay sex as a publicity stunt.



• Birds of a Feather, by mercuriazs. The one where "Stephen"'s pet bald eagle has two daddies.



• The Strange and Not Entirely Ineffective Courting of Jon Stewart by Stephen T. Colbert, by Sparky77. The one where "Stephen" issues a public denial that Jon is going to be his running mate.



• How Stephen Colbert Proved Jon Stewart is a Lady, by sarken, in which "Stephen" proves logically that Jon is a woman because he smells good. And courts him.

Jon/Stephen stories: stories about out-of-character Colbert are harder to come by. All of these are completely inexplicit vignettes of a few hundred words. For the first, you have to join tds_rps [here]; for the third, you have to join the competitor community, fakenews_fanfic [here].

• Trust, by foureyedsnail. About 300 words of banter with the first line, “Do you trust me?”



• Schools of Thought, by sigarilyo. A well-executed 100-word drabble.



• Breaking the Law, by nm_317. In which it is illegal to flirt in New York City, but Stephen does it anyway.

Another set probably forthcoming after perhael and I get a chance to debate over the ones that didn't make the first cut, plus her Anderson Cooper/Keith Olbermann picks.
